The Jackalope 6h Challenge is a multi-sport adventure race (mountain bike, trail running and canoe) to be held on May 28, 2023. This race is designed for people wishing to discover the sport, or for athletes looking for a shorter challenge. Teams will cover ~40 km in the Rimouski region, alternating between the 3 sporting disciplines.
Teams
Teams of two - men, women or co-ed.
Logistics
Teams will have access to bins at transitions. The race organizers will take care of transporting bikes and canoes if required.
What to expect
During your race, you’ll have to make decisions that will influence the length of your race (e.g. whether or not to go for certain checkpoints). To a certain extent, you’ll be able to modulate your route according to your level of energy and motivation. The distances indicated below will vary according to your decisions and choice of checkpoints. Please note that there will be time barriers at certain stages of the race. Advanced orienteering skills will be required for some optional checkpoints. We recommend that you have experience in all the disciplines covered by the race.
Duration
The race will last between 5 and 7 hours, depending on your choice of routes and speed.

Run/trek
12-20 km in several sections
Bike
20-30 km - A bike is required (tires with a minimum width of 45mm). Dirt roads - Forest tracks - Mountain bike trails.
Canoe
10-12 km - River (whitewater and class 1 rapids).
